OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (OHS) POLICY

ABSONS is committed to being a leader in occupational health & safety and aims to not compromise on its commitment to the health, safety and well-being of its people and those under its umbrella.
ABSONS aims to:
- Eliminate class 1 personal damage at our workplaces.
- Systematically reduce class 2 and class 3 personal damage at our workplaces.
- Comply with all relevant legal, contractual and regulatory obligations.
Within a corporate framework for occupational health & safety, each business unit of ABSONS is required to:
- Maintain occupational health and safety management system meeting the requirement of ISO 45001: 2018 & ADOSH SF.
- Maintain a culture of free and actual accident and incident reporting.
- Set and achieve clearly defined annual health and safety objectives.
- Provide training and promote awareness of health and safety to employees and those under its care.
In fulfilling this commitment to protect both people and property, management will provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirement, and will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, accident, or personal injury / illness.
We recognize that the responsibility for health and safety are shared. All employees will be equally responsible for minimizing accidents within our facilities and on our work sites. Safe work practices and job procedures will be clearly defined in the company's health and safety manual for all employees to follow.
All management activities will comply with company safety requirements as they relate to planning, operations and maintenance of facilities and equipment. All employees will perform their jobs properly in accordance with established procedures and safe work practices.
Whenever required, GM reviews the policy for its continuing suitability including a commitment to satisfy applicable requirements & continued improvement of the OSHMS.
